Baldur's Gate 3 reached 500,000 concurrent users on Steam

We all had a feeling that Baldur's Gate 3 would be great, but we couldn't imagine it would be this magnificent. The D&D RPG, Baldur's Gate 3, surpassed 400,000 concurrent players on its first day of release and crossed 500,000 players on Steam on the second day.

Big? No, not just big, it's absolutely MASSIVE!

Larian CEO Swen Vincke stated that they were informed that the maximum number of players they could expect for the Baldur's Gate team at Larian was around 100,000. Therefore, they worked hard to ensure that everything ran smoothly for everyone.

Larian's Publishing Director, Michael Douse, described the figure of 500,000 as "mind-blowing

Baldur's Gate 3 is one of the biggest PC launches of 2023, surpassing games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and the remake of Resident Evil 4, according to some initial measurements.

The recent increase in interest in online games shows that single-player games and RPGs are still beloved and valued by a large player base. Baldur's Gate 3 is achieving great success, proving that the enthusiasm for such games is still very much alive.

The success demonstrated by the game from its very first day shows that, despite changing trends in the gaming world, the commitment to single-player games and the RPG genre remains strong.

I hope Baldur's Gate 3 will serve as a tremendous example for future releases to come.
