Best & Iconic Video Game Characters of All Time

Millions of games have been developed and played by players from the past to the present. Some of them were loved. Some were not looked at. However, sometimes such games were released that the heroes or characters were valued more than the games. Some actors embraced them, and some got their tattoos done.

We have compiled a list of the most loved game characters of all time for you. You can see and recognize the characters from the list below.

  • Geralt Of Rivia
  • Ezio Auditore da Firenze
  • Kratos
  • Gordon Freeman
  • Nathan Drake
  • Max Payne
  • Agent 47
  • Duke Nukem
  • Commander Shepard
  • Captain Price
  • Ghost
  • Arthur Morgan
  • Dante / Vergil

Geralt Of Rivia

Geralt of Rivia, aka "The Witcher," was born in 2007 with the game The Witcher. Geralt of Rivia was very popular, although the mechanics and visuals of the first game were not liked much, and they even hit the ground occasionally. Players left the game and began to wonder about Geralt's life story. With The Witcher 2 and, finally, The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, Geralt has managed to steal the hearts of every generation, from young to old.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze

Again in 2007, a game called Assassin's Creed started to scorch the market. We all loved Altair ibn la Ahad, our main character in the game. However, when Ubisoft released the Assassin's Creed II game, the arrows turned to another character. Ezio Auditore da Firenze! With the spread and popularity of the second game, Ezio was considered as popular as the game. The players demanded a series in which only this character continues. Ubisoft also released two more games, starring Ezio, by not breaking their players.

Kratos

In 2005, hack-and-slash games were top-rated. Games such as Prince of Persia The Two Thrones, Devil May Cry 3, Dungeon Siege II, and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness excited the players with the theme of hack and slash. Just then, another game came out. God of War was born into a hack-and-slash like a sun. Although hundreds of thousands of hack-and-slash-loving players had trouble warming up to God of War, they had a lot of love for Kratos. As God of War continued as a series, players expected a new God of War and Kratos.

Gordon Freeman

You all know Gordon Freeman, the main character of the game Half-Life, considered one of the best fps and games in all history, the enemy of evil, the conqueror of Xen, and the king of time and universe travel. When Sierra Studios released a game called Half-Life in 1998, everyone was first waiting for one of the other fps games.

They were trying not to get my hopes up too much. But when the Half-Life game came out, it also offered the players an excellent story and mystery. The game was very popular with the expansion of the multiplayer mode and hundreds of new methods made into the game. But Gordon Freeman's mysterious life drew everyone even more in. Half-Life 3 is still out, and we all miss Gordon so much.

Nathan Drake

When the dates showed 2007, a game was released on PlayStation 3. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune! As the game's name suggests, all the players understood they would direct someone named Drake or surname. However, the players could not understand what the game would be like at the PlayStation presentation. Some saw the game as the male version of Tomb Raider. Others had adopted Nathan Drake as the young Indiana Jones. However, Uncharted made Nathan fall in love with all the ideas.

Max Payne

There was a movement style called bullet time in the games. The first company to process this was the Interplay company, and it used this feature in its game MDK, which was published in 1997. However, neither the MDK nor the other games released after it was able to talk about themselves with this feature. The game that worked best with this method was Max Payne, published in 2001.

Players liked the character's fighting, slowing down time using bullet time, and the depressed environment of the game. The game even gained an audience in a short time. However, the real story and depressive music in the game so absorbed the players that the character of Max Payne, which blended these features, became an indispensable figure for the players. Although Max Payne 2 and Max Payne 3 games were released, Max in Max Payne's first game was always loved and respected.

Agent 47

Agent 47 is one of the first names that come to mind regarding shooting and assassination. When Eidos Interactive released Hitman: Codename 47 in 2000, the players did not initially understand what they were encountering. Until the last part of the game, they thought our character was just a hitman. However, at the end of the first game, the clone of our character, the fact that hundreds of assassins were raised with him in the orphanage,

Duke Nukem

In the mid-90s, and especially with the release of Wolfenstein 3D, the FPS era began in games. It was such a time that this FPS was experiencing its golden age. Games like Doom, Quake, and Hexen were coming out, and they were all becoming famous one by one. Of course, another match between them would be remembered for years. Duke Nukem 3D was trendy when it was released in 1996. The dynamics and mechanics of the game were interesting, but the main character, Duke Nukem, made the game even better. Even though our longing has been quenched with Duke Nukem Forever, we still haven't stopped loving Duke!

Commander Shepard

Think of a man who is fearless, unruly, and takes his job to the end. This man is charismatic, a leader, and someone who can stand up to all aliens. That man is Commander Shepard! (or woman) When Mass Effect was released in 2007, it received an unexpected interest. The cinematic graphics, transitions, and gameplay of the game were delicious. But what added flavor to this game was our main character. Commander Shepard is one of game history's most charismatic and beloved characters. Let us remind you of the unforgettable line between him and the Joker;

"message coming in patching it through!"

Captain Price

Our next character is Captain Price, the terror's nightmare. Captain Price, whom we met with his grandfather in the first Call of Duty game, greeted us with the Modern Warfare game and decided to remain a part of our lives from that day on. Known for his friendship with Soap, his conflicts with Makarov, and his fatherhood to his soldiers, Captain Price will always be in the corner of our hearts.

Ghost

It's time for Ghost, one of the COD characters. Ghost is one of the characters we all love and significantly often cry. Our hero, whose full name is Simon "Ghost" Riley, entered our lives with Modern Warfare 2. He gave his life for his country with Shepherd's betrayal to him. You are not dead; you are in our hearts, Ghost! We loved you so much!

Dante / Vergil

We are in Vergil with Dante, the twin brother and two leads of Devil May Cry. Devil May Cry emerged when the hack-and-slash theme was intensified, but despite the end of the hack-and-slash era, the series continued with other games. Dante is our main character in the game and is the son of the Demon King Sparta. So is Vergil. Also, these two are twins. The only difference is that one loves the world very much (Dante), while the other is only after power. (Vergil) We loved both of them very much, even though they made it to the point of destroying the world throughout the series. Dante's childishness and Vergil's charismatic movements have always taken DMC to another dimension in our eyes.
