Valorant Skin Collection: Prelude to Chaos

In Valorant, a Riot Games-made FPS game, we're not only getting new Agents and new Battle Passes, but also brand new skin collections. Valorant became the agenda in the FPS world with the new season and skin collections it brought to the game on June 24, 2022. The new Battle Pass added to the game was highly appreciated by the Valorant community. The most striking detail in the update was the new skin collection "Prelude to Chaos".

The new skin line borrows heavily from shooters like Quake III, Half-Life, and UT99. “I’ve always had nostalgia for the industrial, heavy shapes mixed with potent and often unstable energy sources,” said Principal Artist Chris Stone. This inspiration is reflected in the Prelude to Chaos skins, which look like a black hole and have a vibrating energy source in some weapons. Belonging to the special skin tier, this collection is similar to the kind of weaponry evil space mages would use, complete with a great all-round sword to slash your foes in half.

Weapons

The Prelude to Chaos skin bundle is designed for the following weapons:

  • Stinger
  • Operator
  • Vandal
  • Shorty
  • Melee

All these weapon skins are upgradeable and available in 4 different variants:

  • Default (Black)
  • Variant 1 (Green)
  • Variant 2 (White)
  • Variant 3 (Blue)

When changing the style of weapons; acquiring a different style will cost you 15 Radianite Points. In addition to the weapon skins, the Beginning of Chaos pack also includes a spray and gun buddy. As we are used to with other skin packs, there is no player card involved here. But keep in mind that to get these cosmetics, you have to buy the whole package.

Weapon Upgrades

In addition to having 4 variants for each weapon, you will also be able to add animations and visual effects to them. As usual, the upgrade rules for standard weapons and melee weapons are different. Each leveling up will cost you 10 Radianite Points.

You can upgrade weapons up to level 5 in the Prelude of Chaos.

  • Level 1: Base
  • Level 2: VFX
  • Level 3: Animation
  • Level 4: Finisher

Melee Upgrades

As for the Blade of Chaos the melee weapon in the collection, you can only upgrade it 2 times.

  • Level 1: Base
  • Level 2: Animation

Prelude of Chaos Skin Bundle Price

As with every Exclusive skin tier, the entire package in the Prelude of Chaos collection is 8700 Valorant Points (VP), individual weapon skins cost 2175 VP. The Blade of Chaos, the melee weapon in the bundle, costs 4350 VP.
